Now Listen Here is a live storytelling performance and workshop series. We host monthly, non-competitive storytelling open mics in Dorchester and Cambridge. No judging, no scores, just Live. True. Stories. told with no notes. We also teach storytelling workshops and provide coaching services to help storytellers and wannabe storytellers discover, develop, and deliver a great story.

Bart Thompson

Bart Thompson is the founder and a producer for Now Listen Here. He is a Nebraska native and after time spent in Virginia and Rhode Island, calls Dorchester is home. Storytelling in front of an audience, any audience, has often been Bart's happy place. When life has been at its most stressful, storytelling has always been there to help blow off some steam. He's a recent graduate of Lesley University with a Master's degree in education. Bart is a middle school teacher in the city of Cambridge. The biggest thank you goes to Emily, she’s the best.

Nora Weiss

Nora is a Now Listen Here attendee turned producer. She is a Boston native - sans the accent - who loves writing short stories she'll never publish. Her favorite part of listening to others tell stories is witnessing their energy on stage. When Nora isn't daydreaming about her next story she can be found wailing on a punching bag or attempting to have philosophical conversations with her cat. Her favorite food is coffee, no milk or sugar.
